English Electric Canberra

The English Electric Canberra was Britain’s first jet-powered bomber—designed to replace the Mosquito and deliver high-altitude strike capability in the early Cold War. Introduced in 1951, the Canberra set multiple world records, including the first nonstop transatlantic jet flight and a ceiling of over 70,000 feet. Its clean lines, twin jet engines, and adaptability made it a favorite among NATO and Commonwealth air forces.
