PA474 was originally built for the British Tiger Force but reassigned postwar for reconnaissance and research roles. It was restored to wartime configuration in the 1960s and has flown with the BBMF since 1973. The aircraft is one of only two airworthy Lancasters in the world.

This dual-livery scheme pays tribute to the multinational crews of Bomber Command and Lincolnshire’s role as “Bomber County.” The aircraft regularly appears at UK airshows and commemorative flypasts.
