Full Description This archival aviation print features the North American B-25 Mitchell, tail number 430801, nicknamed “Panchito”, photographed by Stuart H Bourne in its restored airshow configuration.
Painted in gloss black with yellow accents, this twin-engine WWII medium bomber proudly displays “U.S. ARMY AIR FORCES” markings and the identifier “69” on the vertical stabilizer. “Panchito” honors the original aircraft flown by the 396th Bomb Squadron, 41st Bomb Group, and is now operated by the Delaware Aviation Museum Foundation.
Captured on a concrete apron beside a grassy airfield, this image showcases the aircraft’s immaculate restoration and historical significance — a tribute to the crews who flew the B-25 in combat across Europe and the Pacific.
