This striking image by Stuart H. Bourne captures Hawker Hunter F-AZHS (J-2001) during takeoff. Originally built as F.58 serial J-4095 for the Swiss Air Force in 1960, the aircraft was later civilianised and flown in France under registration F-AZHS. It was re-marked as “J-2001” for the Millennium and eventually acquired by Hunter Aviation and Lortie Aviation for defense simulation work in Canada. The airframe was modified with a two-seat nose from T.8C XF358, effectively becoming a Hunter T.68C. It wore a wraparound grey camouflage and operated across Europe and North America.
