This archival-quality aviation photograph captures a rare and poignant moment in aviation history: three British Airways Concordes taxiing back to the hangar at Heathrow after completing their final commercial flights on October 24, 2003.

The image showcases Concorde G-BOAG, G-BOAE, and G-BOAF—each having just landed from farewell journeys that marked the end of supersonic passenger service. British Airways retired its fleet after 27 years of operation, citing rising costs and reduced demand following the tragic crash of Air France Flight 4590 in 2000.

On this historic day, G-BOAG completed the final scheduled flight from New York JFK to London Heathrow (BA002), while the other two aircraft carried invited guests and competition winners on commemorative flights. As the aircraft taxied in formation, their crews waved Union Jacks from the cockpit windows, saluting the crowds gathered to witness the end of an era.

Photographed by The Kown One, this image preserves the emotion and grandeur of Concorde’s farewell—an essential addition to any aviation enthusiast’s collection. Printed on gloss archival photographic paper,
